World Day Against Child Labour – “Niños de barrio” exhibition
Published on Jun 13, 2018
In 2014, under pressure from Unatsbo, a children’s union, the Bolivian government of Evo Morales had a new Child and Adolescent Code adopted, lowering the minimum working age from 14 to 10 years. In 2017, photographer Jeanne Pieprzownik went to meet these working children from Bolivia’s poor neighbourhoods. From this trip came a very beautiful documentary photographic series, “Niños de barrio” (“The children of the neighbourhood”).To discover this work, join us at our offices (17 bis rue Caffarelli) on June 13, 2018 at 6pm, the day after the World Day Against Child Labour. The opening will be accompanied by a discussion with the photographer and the NGO Ressources Humaines Sans Frontières, which has been fighting against child labour for more than ten years, particularly in South America.Free admission, upon registration via the event’s Facebook page.
